Beijing Olympic Ceremony Features Giant Paperwindows, Actuated and Spherical Displays

The opening ceremony, directed by one of my favorite movie directors Zhang Yimou, featured a giant version of Paperwindows, in the form of a gigantic projected paper-like scroll, with LED covered rods. Above, an image of a giant human-generated copy of the Lumen display by Ivan Poupyrev also featured at the ceremony. And to make this a three out of three of Olympic display technology predictions, our spherical display featuring Google Earth was there as well.
