Bill Buxton, Principal Scientist at Microsoft Research, is to receive an honorary doctorate from Queen's University at the June Convocations.

Bill Buxton, a Queen's University alumnus, is a relentless advocate for innovation, design, and - especially - the appropriate consideration of human values, capacity, and culture in the conception, implementation, and use of new products and technologies.
